CommClub works closely with the MCC department to provide fun and informative events in the field of communications. We host Q&As with leading professionals in the industry, site-visits all around the city, as well as informal skill building workshops. Our events are a great opportunity to hone your networking skills and connect with peers and professionals with similar interests. We also offer the chance for students to share their original work on our blog as Content Creators.

Senior in MCC minoring in Economics and Business Studies. Nelly is from Beijing, China, and has interned at NBCUniversal for two semesters and loved her experience and the welcoming company culture there! She has also worked with a Chinese Streetwear fashion brand called DAWANG New York, feel free to reach out if you are interested in fashion as well! Nelly enjoys the outdoors very much, especially any big bodies of water - oceans, lakes, rivers, you name it! Prior to coming to NYU, she wanted to be a marine biologist, and she is still truly enjoying learning as much as she can about our planet. She's from Saigon, Vietnam and is interested in the multifaceted subject of visual communications, especially marketing management, social media content creation, and graphic design. She is one of the NYU Athletics New Media and Creative Services Assistant and does graphic design & social media managing for several clubs. She was also a Research Assistant at the Motor Speech Lab. She has interned in multiple marketing internships, including at Future Card and DoubleVerify, where she discovered her passion for the tech industry! Apart from media and communications, Julie has a love and a curiosity for interior design, photography, and exploring new restaurants around the city! She believes in the power of narrative and is passionate about publishing, film, and television. Her recent experiences include interning at startup platform SpairTime, tutoring at the NYU Writing Centre, and teaching creative writing courses to elementary students. This fall, she will join HG Literary as an editorial intern. Outside of school, Ashley enjoys puzzles, game shows, and romcoms. Anna is a California girl in her last year at NYU, studying MCC with a minor in Ancient Studies. She enjoys snacks, ancient Egypt, reading, cool outfits, and being perfect. With such varied interests, Anna has worked across many different fields including fashion, social media content creation, app development, and fundraising. She has also worked with CommClub as a content creator since her freshman year, writing comedic sketches and drawing strange pictures. He currently works as a leader for NYU’s Listening Labs, a guided space for students to experience connection through the act of sharing and listening.
