JULIE TRAN
Co-President
Senior in MCC, minoring in BEMT, from Saigon, Vietnam. She is especially interested in visual storytelling and advertising. This past summer, she interned at The Ricciardi Group, where she further nurtured her love for media by diving into the intersection of communications, finance and tech. Her past experiences include graphic designing at Ogilvy and NYU Athletics, and she has previously dipped her toes into startups and entrepreneurship at past social media management jobs. Outside of work, she loves people watching, logging all her eats on Beli, and capturing everything on her 20-year-old digital camera. She is always down to talk about any of the above or just have sweet treat, so feel free to reach out!

NAVEED SHAKOOR
Co-President
Senior from the Bay Area, majoring in Media, Culture, and Communication, with a minor in Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. Naveed has worked for companies such as dentsu, OUTFRONT Media, and ContentMode across different functions such as strategy, corporate communications, and web design. Naveed’s passions encompass all things media, whether that be reading books, painting/drawing, occasionally writing, tuning into the latest music releases, or discussing pop culture trends at length. ASHANTI JOWERS
Vice President of Communications
Senior majoring in Media, Culture, and Communication with a minor in Web Development and Applications. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Ashanti is interested in marketing, strategy, brand management, and product development across the tech, media and financial services industries. She has gained experience through internships at SMBC, Fitch Group, imre, and Sony Music. Outside of school and work, she loves art, journaling, and discovering new music. LEORA KAYIHURA
Vice President of Editorial
Leora is a senior majoring in Media, Culture, and Communication and Politics, originally from Columbus, Ohio. She is interested in the intersection of public relations and politics. Over the past year, she has interned as a Political Communications Intern for Rwanda at the UN, focusing on media relations and crisis comms; as a Brand Intern at The Lede Company, collaborating with brands including Diptyque, Orebella, and Aritzia; and as a PR Intern at SEEN Beauty, working with brands such as Makeup Forever and Byredo. Outside of work, Leora loves putting her AMC A-List pass to good use, playing New York Times games, and sharing her thoughts on all things Bravo reality TV. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

KRYSTAL WU
Vice President of Editorial
Senior majoring in Data Science and minoring in Creative Writing. Krystal adores bridging technical, social, and artistic perspectives, with professional interests in analytics, sales, and digital marketing. Her previous internships have been with UiPath, Nickelodeon, RippleMatch, and Celsius. Outside of CommClub, you can find Krystal working in residential life and IT, writing poetries and short stories, exploring different parks, or daydreaming at a cafe. EVA BAUDO
Vice President of Editorial
Eva is a junior majoring in Media, Culture, and Communication with a minor in Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. Originally from Long Island, she is passionate about pursuing a career in marketing and brand management within the entertainment and film industries. She has gained internship experience at NBCUniversal, where she supported content distribution strategy, and at Arête, where she developed marketing initiatives. These roles deepened her interest in the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and audience engagement. Beyond academics, Eva loves watching new films, retail therapy, painting, traveling, and exploring culture through art and media. A devoted coffee and matcha enthusiast, she’s always excited to connect over a good latte!

SHANNON CHOI
Vice President of Events and Production
Junior in MCC, and on the Pre-Law Track. Shannon is interested in seeing the intersection of media and law. This past summer, she interned for the New York State Unified Court Systems. She has also interned at various NYFW shows, fashion showrooms, and worked with BYNK Media for a Mejuri Pop-Up event at their Soho location. On campus, she works as a Writing Partner for NYU. Outside of classes, you can find her making Spotify playlists, taking pictures of flowers, writing in her pink journal, and scouring for Ice Cream. She’s always happy to chat about any of the topics mentioned or enjoy a good conversation, so don’t hesitate to get in touch!

ELLA LONDOÑO
Vice President of Events and Production
My name is Ella, and I am a Senior in MCC! At CommClub, I am VP of Events & Production and love putting together professional panels, social mixers, and site visits for our members. I'm originally from Miami, and in my free time you will find me trying a new coffee shop, penny boarding on the west side highway, or going to a concert! I love all things music and entertainment and have had the opportunity to work at some great companies throughout my time at NYU like Roc Nation and SummerStage in Central Park. The CommClub community has made my experience in MCC unforgettable because of all the amazing alumni, guest speakers, and students I’ve gotten to know through this organization. I’m looking forward to another year of exciting events and hope to see you all there!

VALENTINA VALENCIA
Vice President of Events and Production
Junior in Media, Culture, and Communication with a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. Originally from White Plains, NY, Valentina loves the intersection of Entertainment and Business and is interested in a career in marketing. This past summer she interned at ESPN in their Experiential Marketing department and helped plan VIP/Client events such as the ESPY’s Post Party, Sports Humanitarian Awards, and more! In her free time she loves to go to AMC Theaters with her friends on Movie Tuesdays/Wednesdays, get her 20k steps, and watch comedy television (her fave show right now is Girls). TRISHA LUTHRIA

Senior majoring in MCC with a minor in BEMT. As an international student from Mumbai, India, my interests lie at the intersection of creative strategy and brand marketing. Over the past few years, I’ve interned at marketing agencies and music companies like Roc Nation, and I spent this past summer on the Partnership Marketing team at Paramount. Apart from work --I love to read, bopping around nyc, coffee shops and concerts. I love love music and the arts and would love to chat/help with anything I can, bonus points if its over a cup of coffee :)

Vice President of Community Affairs
Senior majoring in Media, Culture, and Communication with a minor in Business Studies. Originally from South Korea, Lena is passionate about creative marketing and strategic branding within the retail and entertainment industries. She recently interned at Letims, a luxury furniture boutique, where she gained experience in product marketing and project management. Outside of academics and internships, she loves discovering cool spots in the city, traveling, and spending quality time with friends. ASHLEY CHEN
Vice President of Design
Senior majoring in Media, Culture, and Communication, with a minor in Digital Art & Design. Originally from Taiwan, Ashley is interested in opportunities in marketing, PR, and social media management, and plans to further pursue these fields this coming year. This past summer, she interned at Crawford Models, where she gained insight into the inner workings of the modeling industry, from research and scouting to creative content support. She has also built experience in social media management, event support, and design. Ashley has studied abroad in Paris and Prague, where she embraced new cultures, made new friends, and broadened her global perspective.
